The village that stretches over a length of 12 kilometres at an altitude of 1800 meters offers a vast number of shops and plentiful entertainment. For those who want to get away from the crowds numerous single trails built especially for bikers and offering great rides can be found in the larch forests just minutes from the village. As the host village of the mountain bike World Championship in 2005, Livigno put great effort into the preparation of the paths for the event. The trails are nearly always easy to ride and also accessible for the less experienced rider.  These trails can easily be combined with the smuggler and military routes around the Passo dal Gallo, the Forcella di Forcola or the Val Viola and even extended to two or more day excursions to Santa Maria and Poschiavo in Switzerland. Livigno is an inspiring bike region and a perfect place for altitude training.
